Our recent alumni and current candidates are
psychotherapists, counselors, social workers,
psychoanalysts, educators, and administrators. They possess
countless certifications and licenses and have appeared on
dozens of national television and radio broadcasts. They
have published books and articles in a variety of
professional
publications and journals including
The Journal of Traumatology, The Journal of
Contemporary Psychotherapy and The School
Psychologist. They have made hundreds of presentations,
including those at Harvard, New York University, Rutgers and
other prestigious universities. In addition, they have been
presenters at many national and international conferences.

Our University has been
in existence since 1979 and is fully accredited by the
Ministry of Education of the Federation of St. Kitts and
Nevis.

Candidates
are required to take a minimum of 15 of the 81 credits to
earn their doctorate and/or 9 of the 36 credits to earn
their masters at our University.
I IUGS is included in the World Higher Education
Database, maintained by the International Association of
Universities. Founded in 1950, the IAU is an NGO maintaining
formal associate relations with UNESCO and is listed online

IUGS is a member of the
Association of Caribbean Higher Education Administrators and
co-hosted the 2005 annual conference with the Federation of
the Country of St. Kitts and Nevis.

Approval for tuition
reimbursement for candidates employed by North Shore Long
Island Jewish Health System, which has 38,000 employees in
New York State and Johns Hopkins University. Union 1199 for
Human Health Services Employees in New York also provides
scholarships. Other government and private agencies
provide tuition reimbursement and payment for our
candidates.
6) Our
candidates and alumni hold or have held key administrative
positions in education throughout the United States,
including Timothy Lisante, Director of Student Placement and
Youth and Family Support, Office of Alternative Academies
and Programs, New York City Department of Education, Dr.
Alfred Lodovico who states that he owes his promotion to
Superintendent of Schools of the Mount Pleasant Central
School District, Westchester County, New York to his
doctoral degree which he earned at IUGS.
7) Our
alumni in the metropolitan New York area hold full time
professorial positions at Fordham University, Hunter
College, and Rutgers University. In addition, many of our
alumni teach or have taught on a full time as well as an
adjunct basis at the graduate and undergraduate level in New
York State as well as various colleges and universities
throughout the United States.
I IUGS has many
testimonials from various Ph.D.s and Psy.D.s who are and
have been faculty members at our University and who have
acted as mentors to our doctoral and master’s candidates,
including Dr. Ron Siegel, a professor at Harvard Medical
School who attests to the quality of our students and our
program. Faculty members and mentors are screened before
interaction with our University and our candidates.
