Organisational and
Political Psychology
Dr. Dan Jordan is a California licensed social psychologist. He has an
inter-field Doctor of Philosophy degree in psychology and education from
Claremont Graduate School. His has focused his career on advocating for
equality and social justice, developing systems of care, writing grants,
consulting, and conducting applied research. Dan has 25 years of
experience in mental health, human services, health care systems, and in
politics in the California State legislature.
With a long-standing commitment to human rights and social justice, Dan
has advocated for and worked to improve equal access and cultural
competency in all areas of health and human services. In addition to
numerous published works, Dan has developed continuing education courses
such as "The Clinician and Social Justice" and is now working on a
project entitled "Beyond Diversity: Human Rights and Social Justice."
With his far-reaching efforts, Dan has created numerous educational
opportunities for those who are not fortunate enough to obtain an
education. He is a dedicated lecturer who teaches courses such as
"Social Problems" and "Racial and Ethnic Relations." Dan is continually
developing strategies to advocate for social justice and the need to
include human rights and equality as a part of contemporary social
dialogue. Dan is a member of Psychologists for Social Responsibility,
and works for community and social transformation.
